What We Do:
We specialize in empowering at-risk youth who are aging out of child welfare, in recovery from substance/alcohol use disorder, involved in the juvenile justice system, or experiencing homelessness.
Through your donations, CSG funds organizations providing resources to these young adults, we help equip them with the skills they need to build sustainable lives and workforce skills. Your donations support the programmatic functions of The Blooming Bistro.
The Blooming Bistro (TBB) is an educational institution, created into a restaurant, that will provide disconnected youth with workforce training and social/emotional learning to help improve abstinence from substance use, housing stability, employment, status, social connectedness, health/behavioral/social consequences, and reduce criminal justice involvement. TBB will employ youth coming from or currently in a program related to foster care, re-entry, co-occurring, or substance use disorder.
Together, Employ NV Youth Hub, Restaurant Hospitality Institute (RHI), The Steele Family with over 100 years of combined hospitality experience, state-wide professionals, and countless community-partnered organizations, will be hands-on with the participants daily. We will help uplift these individuals' lives with school, trades, and careers that can give them a sustainable life. The youth served will learn hard, soft, and social skills, with the implementation of evidence-based practices focused on substance use disorder, suicide prevention, and mental health-related topics.

OUR MISSION
Creating Space for Growth Inc. is devoted to soliciting and distributing charitable contributions to provide financial support to The Blooming Bistro programming that provides workforce and life skills training, and/or social/emotional learning (with evidence-based life skills programming) to at-risk youth(generally defined as those completing or enrolled in a program related to foster care, re-entry, co-occurring, or substance use disorder) in Las Vegas.
We will respond with financial support to the needs of organizations and programs in Nevada that: (i)
combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency; (ii) help to prevent substance use relapse,
incarceration, and homelessness of disconnected youth; (iii) provide stable and safe housing for
disconnected youth; (v) provide essential clothing items and hygiene products to disconnected youth;
and, (vi) make and/or sponsor presentations to educate high school-age youth about substance use
disorders, suicide prevention, and mental health-related topics.
Creating Space for Growth (CSG) was created to honor the legacy of Christopher Saul Gordon (CSG) and his dedication to providing hope, help and support to anyone who reached out their hand in despair to find recovery.
